When I click on a template in my logo templates folder  a different logo opens. How do I fix this? I reinstalled version The Creator version 7.2.9 to try to fix it but it still does not work. I am using a Mac with the latest OS. Here is my location of the files: laughing bird documents/logo libraries/logo templates. All my other templates folders and templates work properly.

    Hey Pete,

This is actually a pretty old problem. It is 'usually' caused by a bad or improper filename. Some computers, and some operating systems just don't like spaces or unusual characters in the filename.

You can find the culprit by loading templates one at a time till you find the one that skips first. Then simply change the filename. If that doesn't work, move the folder to another directory temporarily.

If that fixes your problem, you can try and rename and move the folder back, simply delete it, or recreate that template.

    Hello Pete.

the screenshot you're showing me is for the Logo Templates.

Are THOSE templates being offset? Or are your 'my templates' the ones causing grief?

If you open your 'my templates' section, you'll see that you can hold down the 'Option or ALT' key down, you can delete the templates I mention in the article I gave you

    try that -

    Marc

My Template set is the one place where I can click the template to select or option-click to delete. If I am in another set of templates like Logo Templates I cannot do that. I have several other template sets and some of this are the ones with the problems. I have been using Finder on my Mac to go into my folders for those sets and have to delete templates from there one by one to resolve the issues. It's very time consuming.

    Hi Peter.

    hmmm.... interesting.

Okay, can you tell me the template sets that are causing troubles?
(and when I say troubles... they're all "offset" ? Like if you click on one, the template before it is the one that opens. Correct?)

Let me know which template sets are doing this (other than the My Templates) so I can trouble shoot this with you

In almost every template set some of the templates would work fine and others in the same set would not. I have completed correcting everything by checking each template in each template set and in the ones that did not work I found minor typos in the .tlc and _j.jpg file names. I manually corrected those and that took care of the problem. But there were very many that had to be corrected. I don't know how they got corrupted. I resolved the problem myself. Thanks for responding.
