When I select a text portion and then choose photos and drag a picture into the text box, everything freezes. And I am unable to select any other text or download my graphic.

    Hi Darrell.

    hmmmm... okay, let's try something.

Make sure you're up to date with the software first:

    https://www.laughingbirdsoftware.com/updates

(if you're using version 7.2.9 then you're up to date)

next, what is the graphic you're trying to put onto the box? Can you attach it and maybe send it over?

Or, does this happen with ANY graphic?

Give me a little more info to go on and I'll try and get this working for you

    Marc

Hi Marc  thank you for getting back to me.

First of all it is happening with WGC not Laughingbird creator.

I have a Macboook pro running Chrome.

I create the text I want and open up photos that are free to us on WGC(the button is on top of the elements button. I choose the photo and drag it into the text box snd it fills the text with the photo.  But then it freezes everything and I can do nothing with the graphic after that.

    Does that help?

    OH.
    That's what you're doing?

    I see. smile.png

Yes, those photos are REALLY high quality and really big. So when you fill the text with it, the graphic actually turns into a 'pattern'

which means that not only are you trying to insert a really huge image but it's duplicating itself inside the text multiple times

Which is slowing down the system (browser memory most likely)

    So instead, try this:

Create your text and size it to the size you want

Then, find a photo and drag it to the canvas - NOT the text.

then move the photo on top of the text and resize the photo to fit from edge to edge of the text

Next, take a screenshot of this area (command + shift + 4)

Use this screenshot instead (drag it from your desktop onto the text)

Try it this way and tell me what happens

(hope that makes sense above. reading it back it's a tad confusing so let me know if its clear to you)
