can't access the ecovers

    I purchased the ecovers and followed exact instructions for downloading it to my Laughingbird Documents folder.  I put the ecover elements into the elements folder and the Author ecover Templates into the Libraries folder.But when I go to the Creator software the ecovers are not there. There is a folder called Mockup Templates but no ecovers.
    I have no idea what I'm doing wring.Can you please advise?

    Oh, I'm sorry to hear this!

    okay, let's figure out what's going on,

    Can you try something? Open your Documents > Laughingbird Documents > Logo Libraries folder on your computer.

    Remove the Mockup templates folder (drag it to your desktop for the time being).

    And, do you actually see the 'author eCover'  folder? if it's there, let me know. (sorry, sometimes it may be sitting outside of the Logo Libraries folder rather than IN in)

    Also, is it possible for you to take a screenshot of what's inside your Logo Libraries folder and attach it in your next reply to me? I need to see what's going on.

    Hi Diane.

    hmmmm... interesting.
    Okay, let's take out that folder I see that says "logo creator info videos"
    That may be mucking up the works.

    Also, I see you have quite a few template sets that you haven't installed.

    Login to your members area:
    https://www.laughingbirdsoftware.com/members/login/

    and download the template sets (so you'll have more to use in the software)

    Let's see if removing the folder above helps.

    But I see the Authoring ecover templates so I can't imagine why that's not showing up when you launch the software.

    Maybe... you may not be using the latest version?

    Launch the software and pull down the About menu. Look to see if you're using version 7.2.9

    OK Marc... I think I found the problem.I have 2 LB Documents Folders.

    I put the new folders into the wrong place.
    Sorry for the mix-up and thank you so much for your help.
    I'm good to go!!

    I have been using your great program for quite a while but I realize it’s an old version and I want to update.

    But I cannot get access to update. Maybe I used an old email address that I no longer use.

    I have many of your additions so I would love to have the most updated version. What do you suggest? Thanks for your help... Diane Edwards

    Hi Diane,

    Marc will have to fix your account so you can access the download area for all your content. Hopefully it won't be long.

    Question though. How old a version are you using? Here is the issue.

    The program is now FREE. You can get the latest version from the Members Area of the website, without signing in. However, if your current version is prior to v6, then the new version will not be compatible with templates from your version. You'll probably have to reinstall your content once Marc gets you fixed up. Any templates you made, you'll have to recreate in the new version.

    That aside, you can still install the new version, and if your current version is 6 or above, you should be good to go.

    Hmmm.... I see you do have the latest version of the eCOvers.

    Is it the main software you'd like to update?
